2007 Volunteer Advocate Training Begins in October!

SAVI is looking for compassionate women and men to advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. After completing the 40 hours of training (see dates below), you will be on-call one shift a month to provide survivors with emotional support and information to help them navigate medical and legal procedures following an assault. Manhattan Advocates must live in Manhattan (south of 154th Street and north of Houston Street). Queens Advocates must live in Western Queens in the following zip codes:

No previous experience is necessary. Bilingual/bicultural women and men are encouraged to apply. Join our team of volunteers and work towards stopping violence. We look forward to hearing from you.
