In the century and a half since Mount Sinai was established, we have come to be recognized as a leader in clinical care, education, and research, all the while devoting our resources and assets towards increasing and advancing diversity in our clinical and research workforce. As a driver for excellence, diversity is and will continue to be paramount to our success. At Mount Sinai, we have committed leadership in the areas of minority health and workforce diversity, women and science, and in mentoring and academic enhancement of our faculty and trainees. As a leadership team, we have developed several diversity programs and initiatives to further biomedical research, recruitment, and involvement in the community.
