Institutional Biosafety Program

Blood-Borne Pathogens Training Sessions 2005

These training sessions are held in order to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) requirement to train all employees who have actual or potential exposure to human blood, body fluids, and other potentially infectious materials, in the appropriate safety practices to prevent exposure. Attendance is required annually, and a sign-in sheet will be circulated and retained. The sessions are open to all Faculty, Staff, Research and Post-Doctoral fellows, Medical and Graduate students, and other employees who need this training.

Please Note! This training is not a substitute for the training required by The Mount Sinai Hospital, since it only addresses research activities, and not clinical activities or patient-contact issues.
