National Institutes of Health, Clinical Research Training ProgramThe MSSM K-30 Clinical Research Curriculum Award has established a core curriculum to provide outstanding, investigative-minded physician scientists with a strong foundation in the principles of clinical research. Trainees are educated and mentored in three main areas: epidemiological and behavioral studies, outcomes and health services research, and patient-oriented research. Participants selected will acquire necessary skills to design and conduct clinical investigations of emerging medical treatments and to analyze and apply new diagnostic techniques and new approaches to the study of disease pathophysiology. A comprehensive curriculum has been developed for K-30 participants that provides an important didactic platform to support these expectations. Through a formal collaboration, this program provides an integral base for CMCA junior faculty scholars. |
