CMCA serves as the faculty advisor to several student organizations including the Students for Equal Opportunity in Medicine (SEOM), the local chapters for SNMA and NBLHO, and to other student groups involved with community activities.

  CMCA provides advisory support for PEOM. PEOM fosters discussions and activities to increase minority faculty and resident diversity at Mount Sinai and issues of particular relevance to African Americans and Latinos.
