At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Learn to apply the latest diagnostic criteria for all major psychiatric disorders
  • Learn the neurobiological abnormalities underlying psychiatric disorders
  • Apply neurobiological findings to planning treatments with specific application to difficult clinical cases
  • Develop treatment plans including biological treatments that are consistent with the latest neurobiological and clinical research
  • Learn the biological mechanisms of commonly used psychiatric treatments
  • Integrate neurobiological and clinical research into developing biopsychosocial models of diagnosis and treatment

Psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, primary care physicians, and other mental health providers.

Accreditation

The Mount Sinai School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation

The Mount Sinai School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 15.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
