Program Description
The Heart Valve Club, founded in 2004 and conducted by Professor Alain Carpentier, is a program dedicated to the development of heart valve therapies.
Providing a broader scope and educational format different from the former Carpentier Le Club Mitrale, this CME-accredited two day course includes both live surgeries and discussion of pre-recorded cases. Professor Carpentier is joined by David Adams, M.D. and an esteemed faculty of surgeons and cardiologists for an interactive program of surgery, presentations, and discussions for cardiothoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and cardiologists.
Surgical techniques for valve reconstruction and replacement will be presented for mitral, aortic, and tricuspid valves. The role of echocardiographic assessment, as well as indications and techniques for adjunctive and future therapies, will also be included.
