About the ProgramDescriptionThe Mount Sinai Environmental Medicine Internship Program for Minority Students enlists bright and motivated minority students to participate in exciting environmental and occupational health research projects alongside established scientists. Interns are also exposed to the many academic opportunities that exist at Mount Sinai. Seminars, clinical sessions, worksite visits, and classes complement individual research projects. Interns are also exposed to talks on scientific paper writing, the peer review process, research funding and grants, and the ethical conduct of research. The Program lasts between 10 to 12 full time weeks. Although most interns participate during the summer months, spots are available for those interested in participating during the fall and spring semesters.
