Program to Treat and Prevent Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders
Services
This Program integrates occupational medicine with rehabilitation, occupational ergonomics, education, training, social work and research. Services include:
- Specialized medical care staffed by board certified occupational, physical and internal medicine physicians
- Ergonomic needs assessments and office ergonomic equipment demonstrations at our facilities
- Ergonomic work site evaluations and technical assistance
- Ergonomics education and training programs
- Individual patient counseling
- Patient advocacy
- Assistance with Workers’ Compensation
- Support groups for injured workers
- Referral to acupuncture, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical massage therapy, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement and other complimentary/alternative healing arts
- Research into the causes, treatment and prevention of MSDs
