The current research activities of the Division
are:
- Cross-national collaborative study on Kidney Dialysis and Social
Work Intervention.
- Identification of Elder Abuse in the Emergency Room Setting, NIH
grant.
- Abnormal Mammography Screening Follow-up and Evaluation Program.
- Domestic Violence Prevention Project Evaluation.
- Growing Up Healthy in East Harlem Project.
The study is funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health
Sciences (NIEHS) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- The New York Cancer Project, an 18-month pilot for a 20-year cohort
study of up to 300,000 New Yorkers. The study is funded by Academic
Medicine Development Company.
- East Harlem Partnership for Cancer Awareness.
Funded by the Special Populations Networks, National Cancer Institute.
- Community Consultant to Targeting Primary Immunodeficiency
Disease in Minority Populations. Funded by the NIAID and the NCI.
- A three-year training grant entitled Training in
Alcohol and Substance Abuse for Primary Care
Residents.
