Organochlorines in New York and the Hudson River: Sources, Environmental Distribution, and Health RisksCommunity OutreachAnnouncementsLate last week, EPA reached an agreement with the General Electric (GE) Company, requiring it to begin the dredging called for in EPA's 2002 Record of Decision for the Hudson River PCB's Superfund site. The agreement was published in the Federal Register on October 13, marking the beginning of the 30-day public comment period. Copies of the consent decree are available on the Department of Justice web site at www.usdoj/enrd/open.html, or on EPA's web site at www.epa.gov/hudson. Hard copies are available at information repositories in Glens Falls; Fort Edward (EPA Hudson River Field Office); Ballston Spa; Albany; Poughkeepsie; New York City (EPA Regional Office); and Edgewater, NJ.
