Valentine's Day Show Your Heart Some Love Heart Health Party

Marianne McLaughlin, M.D., Alison Schecter, M.D., Don Smith, M.D., and Ernest
Podrasky, M.D., did blood pressure and body fat screenings for participants in the
Heart Health Party.
"Show Your Heart Some Love" Valentine's Day Heart Health Party
Free Health Screening, Salsa Music and Art Gallery Exhibits!
North General Hospital, The Mount Sinai Hospital, and United for Better Health
encouraged all New Yorkers to 'show their hearts some love' on Valentine's Day at
a Heart Health Party that offered free, confidential health screenings, at the Julio
de Burgos Cultural Center at 1680 Lexington Avenue at 106th Street from 3:00
P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Screenings included those for blood pressure, cholesterol, and body mass
index, and health professionals were on hand to offer nutrition and diet
advice.
In addition to the health screenings, participants enjoyed salsa music, art gallery exhibits,
refreshments and a raffle.
