Nuclear Cardiology and Stress Testing

Back to Clinical Services

The laboratory performs close to 4,000 tests/year, operating six days a week, 10 hours a day. Available testing includes treadmill stress tests, myocardial perfusion imaging (Tc99m sestamibi or Tl-201) combined with exercise or with pharmacological stress, and gated blood pool imaging (MUGA) at rest or during exercise. All Tc99m images are gated. We recently upgraded our equipment with multiheaded ADAC SPECT cameras ensuring state of the art technology.

All testing is supervised and interpreted by dedicated cardiologists, all board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Nuclear Medicine, respectively. Final test results are reported and faxed to referring physicians the same day. Support staff includes fully trained, ACLS certified Registered Nurses, as well as certified Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
