General Dentistry Training Program

Philosophy

Mount Sinai offers a comprehensive one-year residency program in general dentistry. The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Education of the American Dental Association. The Mount Sinai Hospital is one of the oldest, largest, most prestigious voluntary hospitals in the United States. The Hospital has approximately 1200 inpatient beds, and its five hundred residents and fellows representing 37 specialties treat over 40,000 inpatients yearly. There are approximately 285,000 outpatient visits per year, of which about 20,000 are to the Department of Dentistry. The Department is housed in the thirty-one-story Annenberg Building in the heart of the Mount Sinai campus.
