The Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Mount Sinai in conjunction with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine sponsors a six-year combined O.M.S./M.D. training program, which is characterized by a broad educational experience. At the completion of the program, participants will have completed all the requirements of board eligibility to the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, received an M.D. degree, and completed one year of general surgical training (PGY-1). The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The most recent accreditation visit was in March 2005.
