The Mount Sinai School of Medicine has the distinction of being one of the few schools in the country with a Department of Medical Education. The existence of such a department is a powerful statement of our passionate commitment to education and to our teaching faculty.

Our department does not run labs and does not generate clinical revenue. We exist to develop and promote our teaching faculty, to turn their teaching into scholarship, to help them build leadership skills, to foster their ability to be the best teachers possible, and to reward and recognize excellence in teaching.
