Program Overview

We appreciate your interest in our Laryngology and Care of the Professional Voice Fellowship at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Grabsheid Voice Center. Under the direction of Kenneth Altman, MD, PhD, this one-year fellowship focuses on all aspects of medical and surgical laryngology practice, as well as some basic science and clinical research.

Led by Dr. Altman and Peak Woo, MD, the fellowship training emphasizes the multifactorial contributions to laryngeal disease, as well as a wide spectrum of interdisciplinary treatment strategies. Fellows will gain experience and expertise with frequently encountered conditions such as:

• Vocal paralysis/paresis
• Laryngopharyngeal reflux
• Laryngotracheal stenosis
• Benign and malignant neoplasms including papilloma and laryngeal dystonia/spasmodic dysphonia

Routine, office-based procedures include laryngeal EMG, botox, pulsed dye laser, injection laryngoplasty, and transnasal esophagoscopy.

How to Apply

Applicants should be board eligible/certified in Otolaryngology, as well as eligible for a New York State medical license.
