Otolaryngology Residency Program
Thank you for your interest in the Otolaryngology Residency Program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
The residency is a five-year program (the first year is spent in General Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital), with four residents in each incoming year. Overall, we designed this five-year program to give residents the education and clinical training necessary for progressively increasing responsibility in patient care management.
Our department maintains an active educational program that includes bedside and clinic teaching, operating room instruction, basic science research, and a comprehensive conference schedule in both the basic and clinical sciences. Residents receive broad experience in general otorhinolaryngology, as well as extensive specialized work in head and neck surgery, otologic and neuro-otologic surgery, facial plastic (cosmetic) and reconstructive surgery, rhinologic and sinus surgery, maxillofacial trauma, and pediatric otolaryngology.
