Distinction in Research

Mount Sinai School of Medicine has various programs through which students can conduct research under the guidance of faculty mentors. Research experiences provide exciting opportunities for students to receive recognition for their creativity and originality and are valuable educational components for those planning either academic or clinical medicine careers.

Distinction in Research recognizes students who have planned, carried out and written a manuscript on their original basic or clinical research studies. Students who fulfill the requirements for graduation with Distinction in Research will receive diplomas at Commencement stating that they have graduated with "Distinction in Research".
