Postdoctoral Association (PDA)

The Mount Sinai Postdoctoral Association (PDA) is committed to enhancing social and scientific interactions within the Mount Sinai and New York Postdoctoral communities.

Representing the PDA, the Postdoctoral Executive Committee (PDEC) is working closely with the MSSM Postdoctoral Advisory Committee (PDAC) to provide career development seminars and courses to prepare scientists for careers both in and out of academia. Current workshops and seminars available to the MSSM Postdoctoral fellows include networking skills, entrepreneurship in science, introductions to Intellectual Property (IP) law, and writing for the media. For the scientists focused on the academic route, teaching, managerial courses, and grant writing workshops are available, aimed at producing the new generation of scientists adequately prepared for the managerial and teaching responsibilities associated with a successful faculty position.
