Typical chest pain > 30 min., but, 12 hours unrelieved with nitroglycerine |

ST segment elevation in 2 or more contiguous leads (1mm or more in limb leads or 2 mm or more in chest leads) |

ST depression in V1 and V2 greater than 2mm |

OR |
|
New LBBB |
This patient does not meet strict criteria, but thrombolytics should be considered. We have treated the rhythm, but not the cause of the dysrythmia. Coronary Artery disease is the single most common cause of monomorphic VT. This patients VT is polym
orphic, Torsade de Pionte, digitalis intoxication should also be considered in the differential. A cardiology consult would be appropriate in this case to assist in management and aid in obtaining a CCU bed.
