Answer 8:
A trauma series is a lateral C spine, chest and pelvis. Because this patient has an airway already established it would be appropriate to next order a chest x ray, then pelvis. A lateral c spine should then be obtained.

It is the recommendation of Rosen in H/N to CT the head of patients with positive DPL's prior to the OR, IF the vitals are stable. This would be quite a discussion. I would opt to send the patient to head CT,with a senior resident, on the way to the OR.
