List of Reviewer Nominees (instructions)
General Submission Requirements: Please provide the name, title,
mailing address, phone#, fax# and e-mail address of reviewer nominees.
Professor,
Academic Track
A minimum of 20 reviewer nominees to include national and international
selections as well as regional. These individuals should be
recognized experts in the candidate's field and hold a professorial
rank or
an equivalent stature.
- Selection should not include:
- any internal reviewers (MSSM
or its affiliates)
- faculty formerly employed by MSSM
- former mentors
- individuals with whom the candidate has collaborated
(i.e., shared funding, etc.) or published with during the past
3 years.
- more than 3 reviewers from the same institution.
Professor,
Clinician and/or Educator Track
A minimum of 20 reviewer nominees which include national selections
as well as regional. These individuals should be recognized experts
in the candidate's field and hold the rank of Professor or an
equivalent stature.
- Selection should not include:
- any internal reviewers (MSSM or its
affiliates)
- faculty formerly employed by MSSM
- former mentors
- individuals with whom the candidate has collaborated
(i.e., shared funding, etc.) or published with during the past
3 years
- more than 3 reviewers from the same institution.
Research
Professor (Research Track)
A minimum of 10 reviewer nominees which include national
selections as well as regional. Also, selection may
include up to 3 internal reviewers (MSSM or its affiliates) or faculty formerly employed by MSSM or its affiliates. These
individuals should be recognized experts
in the candidate's field or possess sufficient knowledge
of the field in order to render an informed opinion,
and they must hold
the rank
of Professor or an equivalent stature.
- Selection
should not include:
- former mentors
- Members of candidate’s own department
- more than 2 reviewers
from the same external institution
Clinical Professor (Part-Time/Voluntary)
A minimum of 10 reviewer nominees which include regional
(if possible include national) and local selections.
Also, selection
may include up to 3 internal reviewers (MSSM or its affiliates) or faculty formerly employed by MSSM or its affiliates.
These individuals should be recognized experts in the candidate's field and
hold the rank of Clinical Professor/Professor or an equivalent stature.
- Selection
should not include:
- former mentors
- Members of candidate’s own department
- individuals with
whom the candidate has collaborated (i.e., shared funding,
etc.) or published with during the
past 3 years.
- No more than 2 reviewers from the same external
institution
Tenure-Only Nomination (Associate Professor and Professor, All Tracks)
A minimum of 15 reviewer nominees to include national and international
selections as well as regional. These individuals should be recognized
experts in the candidate's field and hold a professorial rank or
an equivalent stature.
- Selection should not include:
- any internal reviewers (MSSM or
its affiliates)
- faculty formerly employed by MSSM
- former mentors
- individuals with whom the candidate has collaborated
(i.e., shared funding, etc.) or published with during the past

years.
- more than 3 reviewers from the same institution.
Associate Professor, Academic Track
A minimum of 15 reviewer nominees to include national selections as
well as regional. These individuals should be recognized experts
in the candidate's field or possess sufficient knowledge of the field
in order to render an informed opinion, and they must hold the rank
of Associate Professor, Professor, or an equivalent stature.
- Selection should not include:
- any internal reviewers (MSSM
or its affiliates)
- faculty formerly employed by MSSM
- former mentors
- individuals with whom the candidate has collaborated
(i.e., shared funding, etc.) or published with during the past

years.
- more than 2 reviewers from the same institution.
Associate Professor, Clinician and/or Educator Track
A minimum of 10 reviewer nominees comprising regional and local selections.
These individuals should be recognized experts in the candidate's
field, or possess sufficient knowledge of the field in order to render
an informed opinion, and they must hold the rank of Associate Professor,
Professor, or an equivalent stature.
- Selection should not include:
- any internal reviewers (MSSM or its
affiliates)
- faculty formerly employed by MSSM
- former mentors
- individuals with whom the candidate has collaborated
(i.e., shared funding, etc.) or published with during the past

years.
- more than 2 reviewers from the same institution.
Associate Professor, Research Track
A minimum of 6 reviewer nominees comprising regional and local selections
that may include 2 internal selections (MSSM and/or its affiliates) or
faculty formerly employed by MSSM.
National selections are also recommended. These individuals should
be recognized experts in the candidate's field or sufficiently
familiar with the field in order to render an informed opinion, and
they must
hold the rank of Associate Professor, Professor, or an equivalent
stature.
- Selection should not include:
- former mentors
- Members of candidate’s own department
- more than 1 reviewer
from the same external institution.
Associate Clinical Professor (Part-Time/Voluntary)
A minimum of 5 reviewer nominees comprising regional and local selections
that may include 2 internal selections (MSSM and/or its affiliates) or
faculty formerly employed by MSSM, including members of the candidate’s department. These individuals
should be recognized experts in the candidate's field or be sufficiently
familiar with the field in order to render an informed opinion, and
they must hold the rank of Associate Professor, Professor, or an
equivalent stature.
- Selection should not list more than 1 external reviewer
from the same institution.
