- Presentation Skills Workshop
Length: 3 hours
Limited to 3 participants
Facilitator: Devra Cohen, Morchand Center
Each participant gives a brief presentation that is videotaped and critiqued by peers. Includes a discussion of voice, body language, and use of visuals; techniques to engage audience interest; and strategies to help facilitate audience recall of the message. Participants keep their tapes.
- Individual Presentation Skills Coaching
Length: 45 minutes
One-on-one coaching session
Facilitator: Devra Cohen, Morchand Center
The participant gives a short presentation that is videotaped. The coach
reviews the videotape with the speaker and offers suggestions to improve
verbal and visual communication skills. After the review, the speaker gives
the talk again to practice the changes. The speaker keeps the tape.
- PowerPoint Workshop for Faculty
The Levy Library offers elementary PowerPoint
classes and also a more advanced course that reviews how to import
and format graphic images in PowerPoint, and how to customize slide animations.
They will suggest sources of images available on the Web and show you how
you can create "screen shots" of tables and charts from other computer
applications to use in your PowerPoint presentation.
