GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION

Mount Sinai is a member of the Consortium for Graduate Medical Education, a group of thirteen institutions in New York and New Jersey that sponsor over 100 residency programs in virtually every specialty in medicine. The mission of the Consortium is to enhance, centralize and monitor the quality of education provided to house staff in participating programs, while meeting the demands and challenges inherent in the advancement of graduate medical education. Among the Consortium's priorities is the recruitment of a highly qualified and diverse house staff at all participating institutions. The Consortium also provides educational activities to all house staff, regardless of home institution or specialty.
