Chapter VIII: Institutional Policies
MAIL ROOM
The Medical Center has a mail collection and distribution center: the hours of operation are 9:00
AM - 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. In general, mail service for faculty is channeled through the
offices of their respective departments, so box numbers for individual departments should always be
used in the Mount Sinai mailing address. Mail for faculty who are not at the Medical Center will be
forwarded by their respective departments. All packages to be mailed should be wrapped and labeled
in accordance with U.S. Post Office regulations and brought to the mail room. When incoming packages
arrive, the mailroom will notify the recipient's department that the package is available for pick-up.
