FPA Earned Supplement |
Paid to physicians from their net clinical receipts in accordance with the FPA supplement formula in the department’s approved compensation plan. Supplements can also be derived for other clinical activities, e.g., clinic visits, inpatient Medicaid, moonlighting, and clinical services tied to receipt of “C” dollars. Fringe benefits are not assessed on supplements. |
FPA Finance Approval with the following exception:
One-time supplements that fall outside the department’s compensation plan must be approved by the Dean’s Office.

Bonus |
One time payments to reward faculty who achieve criteria in the missions specified by the department e.g., excellence in teaching. Bonuses are contingent upon the availability of funds.
Fringe benefits are not assessed on bonuses. |

Administrative Add-on |
A temporary add-on to faculty’s benefit base salary as long as he or she holds the administrative title.
NOTE: should be used only for a defined role with significant service to the department and/or the institution. Add-ons should not be used to compensate for administrative assignments routinely performed by full-time faculty.
