The DNAcore

A DNA Sequencing, Synthesis and Genotyping Facility in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences

The services of the DNAcore in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences (Icahn Medical Institute, Room 14-59) are available to all Mount Sinai Investigators. Our primary service is high-quality DNA sequencing with a rapid turnaround of one to two working days. The DNAcore provides genotyping and mutation detection services on a project-by-project basis. We also have an on-site DNA synthesis capacity of 12 oligos per day and supplement this resource with contracts with outside vendors.

Before using the DNAcore you must establish an account. Please contact Pauline Yung or Mert Sözen, Ph.D., in the DNAcore (ext: 86730) for additional information and forms for setting up an account and for submission of samples, as well as questions regarding results. Please feel free to contact the Director, David F. Bishop, Ph.D., (ext: 86795) or the Associate Director, John Martignetti, M.D., Ph.D., (ext: 86744) concerning any issues.
