Geriatrics Fellowship Program

Teaching

Fellows have the opportunity to participate in a teaching rotation involving first- , third- , and fourth-year medical students. This is an excellent opportunity to learn for them and practice teaching skills with different levels of learners. Fellows are also given the opportunity to educate the older adults in the community at the 92nd Street Y and other similar sites, as well as to health care professionals from various disciplines who are enrolled in the Consortium of New York Geriatric Education Centers. Other teaching experiences include various formal presentations to the Department during the academic sessions.
