Our ACR accredited
Radiology department offers a full array of imaging services at
our two convenient locations. Multislice CT, high field MRI and
SPECT nuclear medicine cardiac imaging as well as general diagnostic
x-ray, cardiovascular and general ultrasound, digital mammography and
DEXA bone mineral density services are available to our patients.
We have the advantage of offering world-class university based
interpretations of our MRI studies via a direct link with specialty-trained
radiologists at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Our Radiologists are
Diplomates of the American Board of Radiology and our Radiological
Technicians are registered in their various disciplines.
Our digital
mammography program, one of the first accredited programs on Long
Island, has enjoyed uninterrupted American College of Radiology
Accreditation since 1989. Advanced Computer Aided Detection (CAD)
is utilized on mammograms as a “second look” to enhance
detection of abnormalities.
Our
department is fully digital and utilizes the Carestream PACS System.
This technology enables your physicians to review your studies
at their desktop computer at their convenience.
