The Gustave L. and Janet W. Levy Library

Connecting to Full Text from PubMed

Mount Sinai users can connect from PubMed directly to full-text articles available in the Library's collection. To do this, you must access PubMed through the Library's list of databases. Off-campus users will be prompted to login with their MSSM user name and password.

Search PubMed as usual. View your results in Abstract, AbstractPlus, or Citation display in order to see full-text links. AbstractPlus is the default display.

To view a full-text article, click on the Mount Sinai icon that appears next to the list of Related Links.

If the blue MSSM button is there, it will open the full-text of the article.

If the FIND IT button is there, click it. And on the next page...

look for a full-text article link.

On the same page, you can also search for print journal holdings, or submit an Interlibrary loan request for the article.

Please Note: If you click a publisher's button (ex. Elsevier, Ovid, etc) displayed in PubMed, you may not receive full-text access. It is best to use Mount Sinai's icons to access the full range of dates and providers licensed for you.
