Search for Grant Funding for a Project

The Foundation Directory Online Professional is an online database licensed by the Levy Library for faculty, students and staff at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. The Foundation Directory provides comprehensive data on U.S. foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities.

The Foundation Directory Online is listed on the Library's Databases page, under the category Reference - Medical and General. Or Click View all Databases by Title. It allows you to search for grants, grantmakers, companies with corporate giving programs, and recently filed IRS 990 forms.

For a guide to searching the Foundation Directory Online, follow the links on their homepage to the Search Tutorial and Guided Tours.

The Foundation Directory Online includes independent foundations, company-sponsored foundations, private operating foundations, community foundations, grantmaking public charities and corporate giving programs. Information is compiled from IRS information returns (990 and 990-PF forms), annual reports, grantmaker websites and other sources, and then verified by the Foundation Center's editorial staff.

The Mount Sinai School of Medicine Grants and Contracts Office provides resources to identify funding opportunities, including governmental grants and contracts, from their Web site at http://www.mssm.edu/grants/funding.shtml
