ISI's Web of Science is an international multidisciplinary database made up of three citation indexes: The Science Citation Index Expanded, The Social Sciences Citation Index, and The Arts & Humanities Citation Index.

A cited reference search in ISI's Web of Science allows you to find out how many times an article has been cited by other publications.

Access Web of Science:

Mount Sinai users should access Web of Science from the Library's home page on the left sidebar under Key Resources, or from the Library's Databases page.

Select a Search Option:
From Web of Science's main search page click on Cited Reference Search.
Construct the Search:

1. Enter the cited author's last name and first and middle initials in the search box.
