ArchivesPhotographsOverviewThe Mount Sinai Archives has thousands of photographic images of Mount Sinai and its staff dating from the first hospital building in 1855. Please contact the Archives if you are in need of images for a presentation or publication. To see examples of images from the Archives' collection, you may review thumbnail reproductions and descriptive information found in The Mount Sinai Archives Image Database. This is only a portion of the images in the Archives that have been digitized to date and the database will grow over time. Additional examples may be found in two products created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of The Mount Sinai Hospital in 2002, as well as the PowerPoint presentation created for the BEST Initiative kick-off in 2006. Images documenting Mount Sinai's World War I Unit, U.S. Army Base Hospital No. 3, are available online through the National Library of Medicine. The Mount Sinai Archives has the same collection of images, plus additional holdings created by members of the Unit. To access NLM's collection, follow this link and enter the search term "Vauclaire", the location of Base Hospital No.3 in France. |
