Borrowing Library Materials
All Mount Sinai faculty, students and staff may borrow books, journals, and audiovisual materials from the Levy Library. To register for circulation privileges, please bring your Mount Sinai identification badge to the Circulation Desk, located on the 11th floor of the Library. A bar code will be attached to your ID, and you must present the barcoded ID to charge out library material.
Circulation Periods
- Monographs (Books):
- Two weeks
- May be renewed two times unless there is a hold on the book.
- Unbound Journals
- Two hours
- May be renewed two times unless there is a hold on the journal.
- Bound Journals
- One week
- May be renewed two times unless there is a hold on the journal.
- Reserve Print Materials
- Three hours
- May be renewed two times unless there is a hold on the reserve
item.
- Reserve materials can circulate overnight from one hour before
closing. They are due back within one hour after opening the following
day.
- Audiovisual Materials
- Reserve items may be checked out for two hours.
- Audio tapes may be checked out for two weeks.
- All other materials may be checked out for one day.
