The Gustave L. and Janet W. Levy Library

Levy Library Floorplan

We are in the midst of a library renovation, and are making changes to the Library floorplan. Although we will make every effort to keep the information below up to date, while the renovation is in progress, it may not accurately reflect the location of some resources or personnel. Please ask for directions at the Reference or Circulation Desk if you are unable to locate a person, meeting space or item.

11th Floor
  • Books (monographs) are on the 11th floor, shelved alphabetically by call number. Search the Levy Library Catalog to find a specific call number. Call numbers represent subjects. To browse by subject, see the National Library of Medicine Classification Outline for general call number information.
  • The Circulation and Reference Desks are on the 11th floor.
  • Audiovisual Materials are shelved at the end of the book stacks.
  • Print and Audiovisual Reserve Items are shelved behind the Circulation Desk.
10th Floor
  • Journals: Both current (unbound) journals and bound journals are shelved alphabetically by title.
  • Dissertations and Print Indexes are shelved behind the unbound journals.
  • The Mount Sinai Archives are located on the 10th floor.
