2. Display Abstracts and More

PubMed presents search results in a Summary format that includes basic citation information such as the article title, author, publication date, journal title, etc. Use the Display Settings drop down menu to select other useful Formats, including:
  • Abstract: Use this format to display a list of search citations with their abstracts. Abstract format also provides access to Levy Library's full-text buttons and buttons that display supplementary information such as Publication Types and MeSH headings.
  • MEDLINE: Used for exporting references to reference management programs such as EndNote and RefWorks.
Clicking on a title link to one reference will also display the reference in the Abstract format.
