Abstract Guidelines

Abstracts can describe a continuum of educational scholarship from projects in a formative, developmental stage to those headed for publication. To ensure the most representative selection, only three abstracts can be submitted by the same individual or team. Two abstracts from the total pool of submissions will be chosen by the selection committee for exhibition at the annual AAMC meeting and four others for blue ribbon awards.

Each abstract should be no more than 450 words long. Each must include a title, list of authors (with contact information), objectives, a description of the educational project, evaluation methods, and a discussion section. A sample abstract is posted on the IME site. The abstract submission form may be downloaded from the site, completed, and returned via e-mail to Bridget O'Brien, bridget.obrien@mssm.edu.

Abstracts are due Friday, September 5, 2008 at 5:00 P.M. Acceptances will follow shortly thereafter.

The program on October 23, 2008 will display posters from 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. Authors should plan to be at their posters from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M.
