The Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship Program, established in 2000, is a 12–month program designed to encourage medical students to pursue careers in clinical research by giving exceptional students the opportunity to take a year to experience clinical research first hand."

Clinical Research Fellowship for Medical Students

The Clinical Research Fellowship was founded on the principle that training physician-scientists in clinical research will increase the pace of discovery of new approaches to diagnosis and treatment of disease. The translation of advances in basic science to new strategies for understanding the pathophysiology of disease requires the participation of physician-scientists who are conducting clinical research.

This fellowship is designed to encourage medical students to pursue careers as clinical scientists by offering them access to Mount Sinai's faculty and abundant resources steeped in the tradition of excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Women and students from groups traditionally under-represented in medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.
