Treatment of Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

Hyperhidrosis is a condition in which there is excessive sweating, usually in the hands, feet, armpits, or forehead. Botulinum toxin (Botox®) is a promising new treatment for this condition. Botox acts by blocking the nerve signals to the sweat glands. This clinical trial will determine the best dose and duration of the effect of Botox® in reducing excessive sweating. The study is supported in part by Allergan.
