Horacio Kaufmann, M.D.Dr. Kaufmann is the Aidekman Professor of Neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Director of the Neurology Clinic, and Director of the Autonomic Nervous System Laboratory at Mount Sinai. Dr. Kaufmann received his medical degree summa cum laude from the School of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He trained in internal medicine and neurology and completed his residency and fellowship at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Dr. Kaufmann is Chairman of the Autonomic Disorders Research Group of the World Federation of Neurology, President of the American Autonomic Society, and is a former chairman of the Autonomic Nervous System section of the American Academy of Neurology. He is the current Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Autonomic Research and author or co-author of many articles and book chapters on autonomic disorders. Bernard Cohen, M.D.Dr. Cohen is the Dr. Morris B. Bender Professor of Neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, received his medical degree from New York University. He completed his residency in neurology at Bellevue Hospital Center, in psychiatry at Hillside Hospital, and fellowship in neurophysiology at Columbia University, specializing. Dr. Cohen is an internationally known researcher in vestibular neurophysiology, with a long-term interest in the effects of microgravity on the vestibular apparatus. He has recently had a major project in the Neurolab NASA mission. Dr. Cohen works closely with Dr. Kaufmann as a consultant to the Autonomic disorders research program. Deborah A. Horowitz, M.D.Dr. Horowitz received her medical degree and completed her neurology residency and fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where she is currently Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurology. Dr. Horowitz is specialized in cerebrovascular disorders and stroke. Her main research interest is the regulation of cerebral blood flow. She is a consultant to the Autonomic Disorders Research Program. Jennifer Lange-LeahyMs. Lange-Leahy is the research coordinator for the Autonomic Disorders Research and Treatment Program. Ms. Lange-Leahy is a graduate of Barnard College.Kirsty Nahm, M.D.Dr. Nahm is currently a fellow at the Autonomic Disorders Research and Treatment Program. Dr. Nahm trained in neurology at King's College Hospital of the University of London. Her main research interests are movement disorders and their autonomic complications. Warren Olanow, M.D.Dr. Olanow is the Henry P. and Georgette Goldschmidt Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, received his medical degree from the University of Toronto and continued his neurology training at the Neurological Institute at Columbia University. Dr. Olanow is an internationally known expert in Parkinsonâs disease and other movement disorders. He has authored more than 250 research publications. He is a former president of the International Society of Motor Disturbances, previous treasurer of the Movement Disorder Society and currently serves on numerous editorial and scientific advisory boards. Dr Olanow is a consultant to the Autonomic Disorders Research Program. Annabel Kim Wang, M.D.Dr. Wang is Assistant Professor of the Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Wang received her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She completed her residency in neurology at Tufts/New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, and fellowships at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston, and at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, New York. Her main research interests are diabetes and amyloid autonomic neuropathies. Jonathan Vapnek, M.D.Dr. Vapnek is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology and a consultant for the Autonomic Disorders Research Program at The Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Vapnek received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and his fellowship in neurology, urodynamics, and reconstructive urology at the University of California, Davis. Andrei VoustianioukMr. Voustianiouk received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology summa cum laude from Metchnikov University in Odessa, Ukraine and received his Ph.D. in biological psychology from the City University of New York (Biopsychology Program). As a physiologist, statistician, and computer programmer, he manages data acquisition and analysis at the Autonomic Disorders Research Program. |
