Observational Study of BOTOX© Use in Cervical Dystonia Patients
GCO # 00-0661 NE* (IRB approval 8/4/00 to 7/14/01)

Cervical Dystonia (CD) is characterized by involuntary, patterned contractions of the cervical musculature that result in abnormal head postures and/or movements. This is due the hyperactivity of a muscle or groups of muscles within the cervical region.

We have used botulinum toxin type A, manufactured as BOTOX© for the treatment of CD in the United States with very good results. We are collecting data to further understand patterns of treatment and antibody development in patients receiving BOTOX© injections primarily for the treatment of CD.
