We encourage Mount Sinai School of Medicine (MSSM) researchers to visit us at the earliest stages of idea generation. Together, we can work toward optimal research, intellectual property, and commercialization strategies crucial to the start-up process. Funding Resources
The Medical Innovation Center (MIC) is committed to educating the MSSM community and working with MSSM innovators to bring their technology from lab to marketplace. This process requires an awareness of and familiarity with the various funding resources available to entrepreneurs. The MIC team works with MSSM researchers to identify and apply for the appropriate internal and external funds (such as Federal and State government, private institution, and foundation grants) available to MSSM entrepreneurs.

Here is a preliminary guide that we sometimes use to start the thought process and stimulate productive dialogue with inventors.
