The Lilian and Benjamin Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute

Hospital-Based Massage Therapy For Seriously-Ill Patients

The Massage Therapy Program at the Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute, Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Adult Development at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, is offering training to licensed massage therapists or nationally certified massage therapists interested in learning to work with seriously ill patients and their families across care settings.

This program will enable the massage practitioner to develop skills to work safely and effectively in the acute care setting with seriously ill patients. The Faculty for this program are an interdisciplinary team of licensed massage therapists, advanced practice nurses, and physicians who work in the nationally recognized palliative care program at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
