The Mount Sinai Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes participates in basic and clinical research projects in endocrinology and diabetes. These include a JDRF-funded study of HLA-DR/Peptide Chimeras to Arrest Type 1 Diabetes (S. Casares, PI), a national study of the effects of Human Growth Hormone in children born small for gestational age (R. Rapaport, National PI), and numerous other national clinical trials of growth and growth hormone therapy.
