Dr. Amita Kamath is an abdominal radiologist with expertise in Body MRI. She completed a joint MD/MPH degree from Duke University School of Medicine (2004) and Harvard School of Public Health (2003). She completed diagnostic radiology residency training at University of California San Francisco in 2009 and fellowship in Body and Cardiovascular MRI from NYU School of Medicine in 2010. She joined Mount Sinai faculty as Assistant Professor of Radiology from 2010-2015. From 2015-2016 she worked in a large private practice group. She now returns to Mount Sinai as part of the abdominal imaging section. Her clinical and research interests are in liver/hepatobiliary imaging, gynecologic, prostate, genitourinary and fetal MR.
