Dr. Fitzpatrick joined Mount Sinai Medical Center as Assistant Professor of Radiology in 2011 and is Director of Musculoskeletal Imaging Procedures.
He is a board certified radiologist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Radiology Associates. He attended Boston College followed by medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Fitzpatrick was junior chief resident and chief resident at North Shore University Hospital.
After residency, Dr. Fitzpatrick subspecialized in musculoskeletal imaging and procedures as a fellow at NYU Langone Medical Center – Hospital for Joint Diseases, where he was exposed to cutting-edge imaging techniques and procedures.
Dr. Fitzpatrick’s areas of expertise include image guided bone and soft tissue biopsy, musculoskeletal ultrasound, orthopedic and sports medicine imaging as well as orthopedic oncologic imaging. He is an author of multiple publications in the radiology literature and is a member of the Society of Skeletal Radiology, Radiologic Society of North America and the American Roentgen Ray Society. He has presented research at a number of national meetings on radiology and musculoskeletal imaging and is heavily involved in teaching radiology residents and medical students here at Mount Sinai.
