- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR | Orthopaedics
Specialties:Spine Surgery, Neurosurgery
After graduating from Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Caridi completed his internship and residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He then trained at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center before completing a one year fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery focusing on spine and spinal deformity surgery. His broad experience gives Dr. Caridi a unique expertise in treating patients who are affected by a wide variety of disease of the spinal column and the central nervous system.
Dr. Caridi's clinical practice is focused on:
- Complex spine surgery
- Kyphosis, scoliosis and other spinal deformity
- Revision spine surgery
- Minimally invasive spine surgery

Factors Influencing Outcomes of Neurologic Deficits Due to Spinal Diseases
This study is designed to evaluate those factors that may facilitate the recovery of those patients who suffer from motor weakness or sensory deficits due to pathology in the spinal cord.
- Predictive Outcomes using Diffusion Tensor Imaging in Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy
The purpose of this study is to determine the role of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM). We are looking to enroll 30 patients undergoing cervical spinal surgery with CSM and 30 patients undergoing cervi...
- Recovery from Neurologic Deficits Caused by Spine Pathology
Neurologic deficits caused by degenerative spine pathology are very common. This research study aims to create a database of patients who suffer from neurologic deficits caused by degenerative spine pathology. Essentially this database will allow surgeons to better educate pat...
