Mood and Personality Disorders Research Program

Our Program

The Mood and Personality Disorders Research Program currently focuses on personality and the underlying psychological and neurobiological factors that contribute to disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder and Schizotypal Personality Disorder.

We explore these disorders using a number of research strategies, including neuropsychological testing, dynamic neuroimaging studies, genetic and endocrine studies, and treatment trials with psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.

Through this research we develop answers to questions that not only add to the current body of psychiatric knowledge and deepen our understanding of personality, but will ultimately lead to better treatment for patients whose lives and relationships are often severely impaired by personality disorders.
