Monday Resident Lunch

All residents are invited to this informal monthly lunch, sponsored by the Department, to discuss residency training issues in a non-hierarchical environment.

Grand Rounds

Every Tuesday throughout the academic year, the department holds Grand Rounds, usually in the Guggenheim Pavilion’s Hatch Auditorium. The department invites prominent national leaders in psychiatry to address academic and clinical issues and is open to all faculty, residents, and medical students. The department also spotlights its own academic interests with several presentations from its faculty and residents yearly. During Clinical Grand Rounds a residents' (typically during the third year) has the oppurtunity to present a complex patient case and formulation, developed under the guidance of a mentoring faculty member invited to serve as a case discussant, focusing on interesting diagnostic and therapeutic issues raised by the case. Many of these Grand Rounds are published.
